Youth Guarantee Programme
The Youth Guarantee programme provides some 16-24 year olds with an opportunity to participate in a range of courses free of charge.
To find out if you qualify and for further information about the Youth Guarantee programme visit the Tertiary Education Commission website.
If you're approved on a course under Youth Guarantee, you can't get a Student Loan. You may be able to get either a:
- Student Allowance, or
- Youth Payment benefit, or
- Young Parent Payment benefit.
18-24
If you're 18-24 and on a course under Youth Guarantee, you may be able to get the living costs and course-related costs parts of the Student Loan. If you turn 18 part way through a Youth Guarantee programme, you won't be able to get course-related costs or living costs until your next enrolment.
